  • During December 2013, GeoViet Consulting is supporting the CCFSC, MARD in organizing 3 short trainings on “Application of remote sensing, GIS and modeling for flood risk mapping and disaster management” for the members of Provincial Committees for Flood and Storm Control in Northern, Central and Southern regions.

  • Since September 2013, GeoViet Consulting is supporting the Forest Protection Department (FPD), MARD to develop a mapping software to manage nationwide database of forest fire and illegal logging locations. Based on open-source MapWindow, this Desktop system can read-in data from regular local reports and from the online Vietnam FireWatch and the meteorological conditions-based forest fire warning systems as well as can generate summary reports and maps for FPD inspection tasks.

  • Since August 2013, GeoViet Consulting is supporting the Geophysical Union (MONRE) to build the national GIS database of environmental radioactivity. The first prototype of the GIS-based mapping database with monitoring data entry, information query, reporting and map generation functions is expected to be pilot tested for the 4 provinces / cities of Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh and Ninh Thuan by the end of 2013...
